LeToya To Be Honored & More

It has been announced that R&B songstress LeToya is to be honored by the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers) during its 20th Anniversary Rhythm and Soul Music Awards on June 26th. LeToya's hit 'Torn' is also set to be honored at the event as one of ASCAP's top songs of 2006. Her career is going from strength to strength.

In other LeToya news, angry fans have started a petition to BET querying why the 'She Don't' singer was completely left off the nominee list for the 2007 BET Awards. It makes alot of sense, considering LeToya was a major feature on BET last year. 'Torn' was #1 on the 106 & Park video countdown for a number of weeks and had to be retired from the chart. Not forgetting the 'H-Town Chick' reality show on the network which documented LeToya's daily activities in the run-up to the release of her debut album. All of this and not even one nomination.

Damn right the fans are angry!! Letoya should have at least been nominated for best new artist. BET did not even give her one nomination. BET is straight tripping with this bulls** nominations they have this year. N E way like Letoya say keep it moving, what don't make u cannot break u. I am proud of Letoya for her accomplishments. I'm glad a pretigious award like ASCAP notice her hard work by honoring her. Letoya brush BET off your shoulders, keep it moving, we the fans will support you. BET need to step up their game cuz that sh** ain't right.

i agree though im not a huge fan of hers she def should have been nominated over J-hud and even Mary cause she won last year and her album came out in 05' it pure bullshit to say the least they wanted to cause drma by puttin jennifer ass in that category knowing the overrated girl aint got nan album nor single out they played letoya.

i am so proud of letoya even though BET is being a b*tch by not nominating her. she worked hard to shake off all that mess with DC. at least she's being honored by ASCAP. that's a huge accomplishment .

i LOVE kelly ro. but what does she have to do with anything? Letoya should have gotten at least two nominations! one for best new artist! i love me some JHud but she hasn't done anything yet, and one for video of the year for Torn, the damn video was RETIRED and was number one video for weeks!!! stupid ass Beautiful Liar was played all of 5 times on BET!!! BET is straight trippin! The ONLY reason I am watching is to see Kelly Rowland perform!

she really does deserve an award cause she was major on b.e.t. but u can tell they getting like other awards show they picking big names like beyonce getting all them awards and she didnt even last in their countdowns wtf?? not saying she doesnt deserve them but she doesnt deserve all the nods. being that b.e.t. didnt play her alot .... and ciara needs more nods too !

I think LeToya won already. Her fans are speaking and her next album will definitely be more bigger than the next one. I think Letoya should continue to work with Jermaine Dupri and Teddy Bishop becuz when it comes to RnB they both brought out the best out of LeToya. And Jermaine Dupri is known for his genuius work with RnB artists Mariah Carey and Usher. I see a great partnership between LeToya, Jermaine and Teddy. And really when is the video for Mims ft LeToya is going to be released love that song? And also the one with Ali and Gipp? LeToya THAT H-TOWN CHICK GET IT GIRL!!! DON'T LET BET STOP YOU FROM ACHIEVING SUCCESS!!! YOUR FANS LOVE YOU!!!
