Rapper Lil' Flip (real name Wesley Weston) was arrested and charged with credit card fraud this past Saturday (July 21st). The charges allege that the Houston native used a stolen credit card to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of 'merchandise'. Sources close to the investigation claim the 'merchandise' ranged from items of clothing to internet pornography. Flip, 26, was released on $2000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

I know Flip was dropped by Sony in 2006, but I didn't think times were that hard.

Any thoughts?

I could really care less about him ... but I hope for everyone's sake this is not true. The hip-hop industry can't catch a break and part of the reason is because the artist can't seem to leave their shady pasts in the past.

That goes to show you, that everyone can't make it in the music business. Got to bring some talent. Many so call rappers aren't now days.

Sony didn't drop him, he left them.
Things shouldn't have been that back because he was making money without big corporations.

I just think corruption will make things get that bad. We'll see.
