Despite only just being released digitally this week, Usher's latest effort 'Love In The Club' has already hit #1 on the iTunes singles chart. As well as guaranteeing that the song makes a major impact on the Billboard Hot 100 next week, it serves as an indication to the level of anticipation for his upcoming album. I've always maintained that Usher wouldn't be able to top his mega-selling 'Confessions' LP creatively or sales-wis;, however, with the way things are going, he may just prove the naysayers wrong.

Your thoughts?

I'm surprised at how quickly the song ascended to #1 on iTunes. I don't particularly like it as a first single, but it may grow on me. Happy for Usher though. Mariah better issue "Touch My Body" to iTunes quick or she won't hit #1 cause Usher may have it on lock for a while.

I liked this song the 1st time I heard it. I think because usher didn't release an album right after the success of confessions people forgot what he's capable of. "Love in this club" is a really good song & i can't wait to hear more material from this up coming album.
