Check CNN's behind the scenes look at Solange's new video 'I Decided':

Watching this really has me amped for the video. Solange's label (Geffen/Music World) as well as her management seem to be pulling out all the stops; the Melina directed clip really looks to be something. Though I wasn't entirely sold on the song initially, with the summer fast approaching, the likelihood of it catching on is a strong possibility. Random tidbit: It's real good seeing 'Big Sis' taking on a mentor-like role with Solange.

I'm love Solange new song! I'm sure Solange can emerge from the shadows of her big sister, like Janet Jackson was able to do too. Go Solange!

Anyway, I liked the song the first time I heard it. The video looks like it's going to be cool. I can appreciate Sol's individuality. If her album is reminiscent of I Decided-I will def be buying

I'm SO happy for Solo the song sounds like NOTHING out right now and that's a GOOD thing every song sounds the same to me nowadays can't wait for her new album and I'm so happy she's stepping out on her own big ups to B for being there for her lil sis I can't wait for her new album either

Go Solange! The music is lovely. So far every song that I've heard from her new stuff is hot.
I like the fact that she chose to do something totally different than what's out right now. She's young but seems to have her stuff together. Way to go Solange.

I am happy people are finally seeing her as Solange and not as Beyonce's little sister. Usually when I see a post about her there's nothing but hate and nastiness, comparing her to her elder sibling.
Finally she's out of the shadow.

Come on now... CNN? I love Solange just as much as the next person, but there are so so so many other important things to worry about. Damn, might as well watch cartoons instead of the news.
