With R&B star Ne-Yo's 'Closer' burning up the airwaves in the US, it's apt that the song's video made its debut today. Evidently, someone's been watching more than a few Michael Jackson videos, but it's all good. I'm really liking the song and feel the video compliments it well. 'Closer' is featured on Ne-Yo's third studio album 'Year of The Gentleman', which will be released on June 24th.

What do you think of the video?

Does anyone think that this is a mix of "Another Day in Paradise" and "Maniac" ( I forget who its done by but it was in the Gay Club scene in American Pie 3)?

I actually happen to love this song, very happy with the way Ne-Yo is going although his other song which got leaked wasn't too special :( quite disappointing. The video is cool and fresh although at the beginning he is a bit too Miachael Jackson and Usher-ish. Other than good video imo.

i really like this song now that there is a video to it.
it is more attractive! Ne-Yo isn't the greatest singer...but he can write his ass off.... so kudos!

Propz to Ne-Yo, a good video and a catchy song. Goona be a summer smash. This is why he's been one of the hottest singers out for the last 3 years.

Wack. The song is a complete rip-off of Don't Stop The Music...this will probably be a smash though so good for him, I suppose..

Im not sold on the song just yet but seems like i'll be hearing it alot...

As for the video its ok but i hate the fact that you never see his face. Why is he always wearing a hat over his face or when the camera goes to show his face it changes shot or flash's black. Apart from that the video was ok if not abit repetative.

the song is on point but the video is sadly a poor man JT's My love. Ne-yo can't dance for shit and he looks like a woman trying with all his hand gestures and shit. dude needs to dance like a dude. ain't feeling the vid at all but the song makes up for it. i'm liking that he's not sitcking to his typical r&b style cuz that shit was getting played out although he can pen some serious tunes for rihanna, they gel well together (take a bow is tha Business).
