Ryan Leslie, the brainchild behind hits by Destiny's Child, Cassie, Danity Kane and more, is set to drop his self-titled debut on June 17th. 'Diamond Girl' is the album's first single, the video for which premiered on BET last night. Though the video isn't anything to shout about, it's still pretty good - as is the song. Whether or not this will garner Leslie any more recognition than he has already has will be interesting to see.

What do you think of the video / song?

Ugh...someone should have stayed out of the recording booth. Stick to cameos in Cassie videos!

Destiny's Child? What hits did he write/produce for them?

"Diamond Girl" is one of my favorite songs, however he has "Addicted" & "Rescue Me" that are well done songs too.
I'm curious about a song called "Overdose" that I saw on youtube.
If that is his song, he should make it available to the public. That is one of his better songs IMO
I searched for it on itunes, but only "Diamond Girl" is available right now & I already bought that one.
I hope he has all of these songs on his album that is coming out in June.
His "Diamond Girl" video is good, but can use a little fine tuning.
