Mariah Carey - 'Bye Bye' Video

Amidst the media speculation surrounding Mariah Carey's supposed marriage to actor/comedian Nick Cannon, the video for the singer's new single 'Bye Bye' - which stars Cannon - premiered today. Having watched the clip, I'm now almost certain that the 'wedding' is a publicity stunt. I mean why was Nick in the video? His role served no purpose to the song's lyrical content. The initially boring clip picked up when it began to take some kind of relevant form. I'm not particularly a fan of the song, however I can see Mariah scoring another big hit with this.

I thought the video was boring…UNTIL I REALIZED THAT…Mariah is a Genius, because she’s basically playing the video down so that people can CONCENTRATE ON THE LYRICS!!!!! This song is another Mariah classic and people can’t hate on it this early, because lets not forget…Everyone HATED “Touch My Body,” and a month later, those SAME HATERS bought the single, which marked MARIAH HISTORY!!!

THE ONLY REASON Nick Cannon is in this video is because he is going to be in her next single video for “Love Story.” It will be a continuation, much like “It’s Like That” & “We Belong Together,” with that actor Wentworth Miller who played the love interest in both videos.

I love the part where Mariah is shooting her VIBE COVER in this “Bye Bye” video, because it’s the same cover that everyone hated on in the Concrete Loop previous post, but you cannot deny that Mariiah looks AMAZING on the Cover and even More Amazing shooting the cover in this video (She’s 38 has an 18 year old body, and yet old enough to show it off without being trashy, lets not hate on that!!!)

The guy in the black & white photos towards the end is HER DADDY who she dedicated the song to (so sad) and the dog is JJ (but Jack is STILL LIVING...just really old!!!)

FINALLY, Mariah is NOT married to Nick Cannon…DUH!!! She’s with Mark Sudack, her record exec. and the wedding rumors are for Mariah and MARK!!! Nick Cannon is just a decoy for this video and the real wedding (since we all know Mariah is super secret, and lets not forget extremely faithful and would NOT make silly choices in marriage).

Only Mariah’s REAL FANS would know that!!!!!!!!!!!

EXCELLENT VIDEO I GET THE CONCEPT... I UNDERSTAND NICKS PURPOSE AS WELL AS THAT SHE DIDNT WANT TO MUCH ITS A VIDEO THAT PROVOKES THOUGHT AS YOUR WATCHING.. AND SERVES THE BALLAD GREAT... CAN WE SAY HIT #19!!! MARIAH I DIDNT SUPPORT YOU BEFORE THEOM.. BUT I MUST SAY YOU HAVE GAINED A NEW LAMB!! MY DAD SAYS MARIAH WILL NEVER GO AWAY! Just kidding, I like the concept of the video. But why is Nick Carey really in the video. He shouldnt be in there because it's only about the people she lost and her CAT.

- I personally think M.C is a little crazy and wouldnt be surprise if its really about her CAT. Dont be shock. If thats the case.

The video is really nice . i like the whole concept and everything . the vibe shoot scene has got to be my favorte because she looks stunning and the look on her face with the robe on is priceless. i can really see this being #1, cant wiat for "love story" , oh & nick did his thing in the vid.


& for the ass who said it was about a dead cat should be asheemd . it was tottaly disrepectful to everyone else shes lost that appeard in the video.

1st comment, you posted that exact ish on concreteloop, wtf. Don't try to force the "meaning" of a dry video and song down our throats.

Anyway the song is typical of Mariah and it's okay. I'm also hating her lips/mouth...something's off about it. She needs a plumper at all times.

Why would you assume this song is about her dead cat when there are CLEARLY other pictures of PEOPLE WHO PASSED AWAY...DUH!!!

Too BAD she DID marry Nick Cannon! I didnt think she was that stupid either but apparently SHE DID marry that kid! Mariah has more brains that then ATLEAST i thought she did any how!
