Janet Superbowl Fine Dropped Believe it or not, there were still financial repercussions lingering for Janet Jackson's now infamous 'Nipplegate' moment at the Superbowl four years ago. However, it has been announced that the last of the barrage if fines leveled against the networked which aired it, CBS, has been dropped:
PHILADELPHIA - A federal appeals court has thrown out a $550,000 fine against CBS Corp. for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction."
The three-judge panel in Philadelphia ruled Monday that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing the fine for the fleeting image of nudity.

The 90 million people watching the Super Bowl, many of them children, heard Justin Timberlake sing, "Gonna have you naked by the end of this song," as he reached for Jackson's bustier. {Source}
About time already. All parties seemed to have moved on anyway, so the fine really was pointless IMO.

Janet can overcome the SB. People just go overboard with some things. They make it seem as if Janet was the only one on stage.

i watched this performance over again a couple days ago and the sad part is the whole performance BEFORE justin entered the stage was probably Janet's fiercest performance ever, she really gave it, and that was completely overshadowed. That was one of the last times i saw janet really give it to me on stage.

It's sad that people can't get let this go. It was wrong of her to show skin like that when kids were watching but everyone makes mistakes or misteps. Get OVER it!

Wasn't this 4 yrs ago? Who is seriously still thinking about? I'm sure little kids have seen breasts before. Other artists where skimpy clothes all the time and parents take their kids to their concerts, so big deal.

PLEASE! stop Posting Janet on this site i beg u. There are other chicks in the game uno. YES she has set the path for the rest but thats the whole reason other people come up into the game to keep creating new ways.
