Michael & Janet To Appear Together At VMAs?Word has it superstar siblings Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson will appear on stage together for the first time in 13 years at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on September 7th:
Although Britney shot promos for the VMAs, we're told the real gold is Michael Jackson. Sources close to the awards tell us MTV honchos have been working OT to get Jacko to reappear at the awards.

We're told a deal is as good as sealed to have MJ present an award with sister Janet. {Source}
With Michael's 50th birthday just days away, a high profile appearance at the show really isn't far-fetched. Here's hoping they do in fact appear.

There are always rumours of Mike appearing at Award shows.

I doubt it will happen - would be awesoe if he did turn up

This could be a rumor thrown out or real? If he did present her with an award what would it before? Close but no cigar or consistently selling less & less albums with each new release. Remember she was banned at a point. Besides some mtv special awards (like michael got) feel like wtf was that for did he did the network know?

i love(d) janet, but what happened to her music.

MTV is definitely trying to revive their ratings. but what better way to do that than with the King and Queen of Pop!!! MJ's 50th birthday is tomorrow, and Janet kicks off her first tour in 7 years 3 days later (Sept. 10). this would work out GREAT for everyone involved. i would just DIE if they performed 'Scream'!!!!

Excuse me but Michael and Janet both made MTV. If it wasn't for them MTV would be nothing. They set the bar of what it is to be a real performer.

MTV has been real lame latley, and yes it was people like Micheal Janet and Whitney that attracted the minorities to MTV, before then it was just heavy metal. last year the awards were the worst, the only good was Britneys performance lol, the rest was boring.

As long as he doesn't show up alone to present the award. I don't know at this point what the crowd reaction would be. If Janet is with him it should be okay. Most of the applause will be for her, instead of the mixed reaction you'd probably get with Michael alone. I used to love Michael but man he's just a weirdo now.
