UK'ers will no doubt remember Alesha Dixon from her stint as a member of majorly successful British group Misteeq. To others, she will be recognisable as 'that girl from NERD's 'She Wants To Move' video'. In any case, she's back - after a false start of a solo career which saw her unceremoniously dropped from her label. After winning Strictly Come Dancing (the UK's version of Dancing With The Stars) last year, she is was catapulted back to stardom.
Now signed to Asylum/Warner, Alesha's new single 'The Boy Does Nothing' premiered on radio today. Put simply, I'm on the fence about this Mambo No.5-esque track - which is a departure from the commercial R&B we're used to hearing from her. Still, I'm sure she's on course for success; word has it her label are prepping a major promotional push for both the single and album 'The Alesha Show', which is due in November.
