‘Girls’ Night Out,’ the latest studio album from singer-songwriter-producer Babyface, is out now and there’s no better way to celebrate than to give music lovers yet another taste of what it’s offering.

Having already bagged critical acclaimed for the 12-song project’s previously released songs ‘Game Over’ with Queen Naija,  ‘Seamless’ with Kehlani, and ‘Keeps on Fallin with Ella Mai (which peaked at #1 on R&B charts), the 11-time Grammy winner is looking to elicit a similar response for another of the set’s housed cuts: the delectable ‘Liquor.’

Assisted by R&B diva Ari Lennox, the dynamic duo use the metaphor-driven love song to compare their love interests to libations.

“Two shots of liquor, no chaser, no rocks, no blend, straight up, just you / Two shots of liquor, uh uh / I need 100 from my man he can’t be 80 proof / When he ask me throw it back I tell him absolutely, uh uh,” Lennox croons on the sultry cut.

Babyface fans anxious to get their hands on his new album, the October 29-due ‘Girls Night Out,’ are being given yet another reason to get excited about the ladies-led project thanks to new song ‘Game Over’ featuring Queen Naija.

The follow-up to the critically acclaimed ‘Seamless’ with Kehlani and ‘Keeps on Fallin with Ella Mai (which has peaked at #3 on Adult R&B radio charts as of time reported), ‘Game’ sees its performers trade verses about the hardships of leaving a love that’s gone south.

“I don’t wanna leave, but I gotta go, this is not for me / Yeah you had a good run had your fun now I’m done / And the game is over (I don’t wanna leave) / I don’t wanna leave, but I gotta go, this is not for me,” Naija croons on the chorus.

After watching his Ella Mai-assisted single ‘Keeps on Fallin’ rise to the top 20 of Billboard’s Adult R&B Charts, Babyface is looking to hit higher heights on the tally with its Kehlani-enlisted follow-up, ‘Seamless.’

The second single from the legendary singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album ‘Girls’ Night Out’ (due October 29), ‘Seamless’ – also produced by Babyface – tells the story of romantic partners who just can’t seem to be on the same page of late.

“We ‘posed to be seamless / But you love showin’ off weakness / Gettin’ all mad for no reason / Turnin’ up on me for breathin’,” K croons on the chorus.

Thanks to a recent social media challenge, the enduring legacy of Tevin Campbell‘s eternal classic ‘Can We Talk’ is speaking to an entirely new generation of music lovers.  And, if the song’s writer – the legendary singer/songwriter/producer Babyface  – has anything to say about it, that renewed love for the nearly 30-year-old tune won’t be stopping anytime soon.

Using it a sample of the 1993 cut for his latest single ‘Keeps On Fallin,’ Babyface tapped Brit-born R&B belle Ella Mai to act as assistant on the D’Mile-produced bop about the joy of falling in love over and over with that special someone.

“Every day like the first day / Still get butterflies, oh yeah / Middle of the night, we all the way, baby / Baby, Ain’t no looking ’round, I’m first place / So I love him even him on his worst day / He’s always there for me,” Mai sings.

And though the two are slated to perform at this year’s BET Awards (June 26), we can only hope it will soon be confirmed they’ll be giving this gem its first live treatment.  Until we find out for sure, hop inside to hear ‘Keeps’ in full.

Babyface has broken his silence after being shockingly dropped from Anita Baker’s current US tour.

As reported, the legendary music maestro was axed from the Queen of Quiet Storm’s latest trek following an arguably one-way feud.

In a series of tweets shared over several days, Baker took aim at Babyface’s fans – who she asserts were “cyber bullying” her and erroneously blaming  her for the prolific hitmaker being omitted from a select date on the tour.

Despite Babyface maintaining a dignified silence, it didn’t stop Baker from directly blasting him too.

Reacting to all of the developments, the 64-year-old (born Kenny Edmonds) has issued a statement.

Find out what he had to say below…
