Many of our UK visitors will likely be familiar with Taio Cruz's current smash 'She's Like A Star' - after all it does seem to come on the radio/TV every five minutes here. Anyway, in what is somewhat of a first for the UK Urban scene, an official remix for such a track has surfaced featuring home-grown heavyweights the Sugababes as well as US rapper Busta Rhymes. A great spin on an already great track. Check it out:

For those unfamiliar with Taio or some of the other great acts the UK has on the come-up, do be sure to stay tuned as I'll be hitting you up with a mega-post of sorts in the very near future. In the meanwhile...

Hit or Miss?

With rapper Busta Rhymes readying his latest LP 'Blessed' for a June 17th release, two new videos in support of the set have surfaced; official single 'We Made It' (ft. Linkin Park)' (above) and buzz cut 'Don't Touch Me (Throw The Water On 'Em)' (below). While I'm not really feeling the clip for 'Don't Touch Me', I'm really liking the 'We Made It' song and video - very different for Busta.

What do you think of the song(s) / video(s)

Busta Rhymes - 'Don't Touch Me (Throw Da Water On 'Em)After a brief hiatus, rapper Busta Rhymes is back on the music scene. Set to release his brand new album 'Blessed' on June 17th, Busta will drop Don't Touch Me (Throw Da Water On 'Em) as the LP's first single. The track, which sounds like a Neptunes production, is a hit and miss affair IMO; Busta's return to the rapid-paced delivery - that he has become renown for - suits the track's high-octane production pretty well. However, lyrically, the song doesn't really go anywhere. Still, I'm definitely anticipating Busta's new record; as I had high hopes for his moderately received last LP 'The Big Bang'.

Hit or Miss?

I really didn't understand all the hype about the original version of Diddy's 'Last Night' - I felt that it was just O.K. It seems I'm in the minority as most people are feeling the track, one his best performing singles from the album. This official remix features Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes and of course Keyshia Cole. I'm really liking it. Some of these remixes end up turning better than the originals, like this and Busta's 'Touch It'. Check it out...

Busta Rhymes must want to go to jail. Having already been to court this week on two other charges, he has been arrested again. The rapper was taken in and charged with driving with a suspended license in the early hours of Thursday morning. Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith, faces up to 15 days in jail if he is convicted.

I just don't understand the mentality of some people. Does he think he is invincible? Dumb-ass behaviour is what I call it. If he is guilty, then he deserves the jail term and then some more for such foolishness.

Rapper Busta Rhymes has rejected a plea-deal from Prosecutors in his assault case yesterday, 20th February. The deal would have meant that Rhymes, 34, would spend only 6 months in jail for two assault charges. The first charge is for Rhymes attacking his former driver, Eddie Hatchett, during an argument over back-pay. He is also charged for assaulting a fan who allegedly spat on his car in August. He is, however, considering a judge's plea-bargain that would allow him to plea guilty to a lesser assault charge and remain free.

I say take the judge's offer. It's not often you get a judge bending over backwards to keep your behind out of jail! Seriously though, he needs to sort himself out.

In other news, the Florida beauty shop owner who was allegedly assaulted by Foxy Brown, resulting in her arrest last week, has told the New York Post "I hired a lawyer. I hope to pay off my mortgage with whatever I get"- referring to a lawsuit he is about to launch against the rapper. IMO he deserves nothing if all he wants is money instead of justice. Plus, I don't think Foxy has any money left!
