Ciara Gets Conceptual On 'Fantasy Ride'Billboard.com have revealed some very interesting details about Ciara forthcoming studio album 'Fantasy Ride':
R&B singer Ciara has slated her third album, "Fantasy Ride," for a September release via Jive. Rather than one standard CD, the music will be spread across three separately packaged discs, bundled together, each with five to six songs catering to a different theme.

The first disc is called "Groove City" and will contain sensual songs like "Promise," while the second disc is called "Crunktown" and includes tracks akin to Ciara's 2004 introductory single, "Goodies." Finally, the up-tempo "Kingdom of Dance" will showcase Ciara's house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.

Producer Tricky Stewart, who crafted Rihanna's "Umbrella," is co-executive-producing the project along with Ciara. Danja is helming both "Crunktown" and "Kingdom of Dance," while "Groove City" is led by Tricky and Jasper.

An official single will drop in June, according to the label.
Now that's what I'm talking about! Despite Ciara being immensely talented, I oft wonder how she'd be able to take it to the next level artistically and leave a lasting impression Ala the Beyonce's and co etc. This, her latest venture, really seems to be her real 'evolution'.

Your thoughts?

Nelly - 'Stepped On My J's' (ft. JD & Ciara) With the release of Nelly's 'Brass Knuckles' fast approaching, a new cut from the set has surfaced. 'Stepped On My J's', which features Jermaine Dupri and R&B star Ciara, sees the St. Louis native re-embrace the gritty, yet radio friendly sound that made his debut so great. I must say, I'm really liking this one. 'Brass Knuckles' hits stores June 24th.

Ciara - 'High Price' (ft. Ludacris) (Snippet)A snippet of 'High Price' (ft. Ludacris), the first single to be released from Ciara's 3rd studio album 'Fantasy Ride' (tentatively slated for a September release) has surfaced. I'll reserve my judgement until I hear the track in its entirety. I know that I'm definitely on the fence about the 'voice' she's singing in.

Ciara - 'Supernatural' (Snippet) With R&B star Ciara hard at work on her third studio album tentatively titled 'Fantasy Ride', a snippet of one of the supposedly featured track has surfaced. Though the smooth mid-tempo 'Supernatural' isn't a bad effort, it certainly leaves a lot to be desired. It'll be interesting to see what the album, due out in the Autumn, will have on offer - material better than this I should hope.

Ciara Preps 'Fantasy Ride' R&B star Ciara invited MTV to Hotlanta's Silent Studio to preview her third studio LP, which has a working title of 'Fantasy Ride'. The album will be presented by lead single 'High Price' - featuring rapper Ludaris. Word has it that the song has a Crunk vibe.

While I'm looking forward to Ciara's new record, I'm kinda hopeful she keeps the Crunk to a minimum. Yes, I know it's the sound she's recognised for, but I think she may be better off channeling her efforts into something else. While her last album spawned stellar slow jams such as 'Promise' and 'So Hard', it's Crunk offering were terrible IMO - i.e the tuneless, hook-less 'That's Right'. Anyway, Ciara has gone on record to confirm that a summer release has been penciled in for the record; so, I'm assuming we should be hearing something very soon.

Any thoughts?

R&B stars Kelly Rowland and Ciara hit London earlier this week to perform at premier urban station Choice FM's 18th Birthday bash. Check out their performances below:

Kelly Rowland - Like This / Work

Ciara - Goodies / Like A Boy

Kelly nailed it! Whoah. She worked it like a pro. From her stage presence, to the the audience interaction, to the vocals, she definitely shined. After watching this, as well as her BBC 1Xtra set, I'm gonna need Ms. Kelly to be performing like that all the time from on here on out. Awesome. {Random tidbit: Did anyone else catch Def Jam head LA Reid (who was there with Mariah) recording Kelly on his mobile? Just an observation...}

Ciara was solid too. While I would have really liked to see a 'Promise' performance (her career defining song IMO), it's understandable why she she performed 'Goodies' and 'Like A Boy' - both of which are her biggest hits in the UK to-date. Good stuff.

Ciara Noted photographer Derek Blanks previewed his upcoming book recently, which includes a shoot of celebrities and their 'alter egos'. Check out shots of Ciara (above), as well as Amerie, Kym Porter and Monica. I'm liking both the pics and their concept a lot.

Ciara UpdateAccording to Billboard, Ciara is currently in the studio recording her third as-yet-untitled album, which is tentatively slated for either August or early September release. Danja, The Clutch, Polow Da Don and T-Pain are just some of the names who have submitted tracks for the project.

The 'Promise' singer is also still filming her role as the lead in the film adaptation of the stage play 'Mama, I Want to Sing.' Co-starring legend Patti LaBelle, the movie is expected to hit theaters across the US later this year. {Source}

I'm amped to see what Ciara will be serving up on her next project. Despite her sophomore effort 'The Evolution' not really showing much evolution in terms of her sound (See: 'That's Right), her artistic growth on all other fronts (i.e. vocally, choreography, video etc) is hard to deny IMO.

Any thoughts?

Ciara & Janet To Shoot 'Feedback' (Remix) Video? Word has it that Pop superstar Janet Jackson will be joining forces with Ciara for the video for the 'Feedback' remix. Said to be set for shooting next week, the news comes amid 'Feedback's' resurgence on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; The song jumped a whopping 35 places this week from #54-#19. Def Jam are also re-sending the track out to radio outlets.

Not heard the 'Feedback' remix (ft. Ciara) yet? Click here to listen

For some reason, unbeknown to me, a lot of Janet and Ciara fans seem to dislike one another and won't be checking for this. I know, as for me, I'm definitely looking forward to what the ladies will be serving up, should this prove legit. Known for their position as 'entertainers' as opposed to (for) their vocal prowess, combining the two would be big.

Any thoughts?

Though it seems Ciara has wrapped up the promotion for her most recent project 'The Evolution', she isn't heading out of the limelight just yet. The 'Goodies' singer laid down new vocals for a remix to Janet's 'Feedback', as well as Missy Elliott's 'Ching-A-Ling'.

Despite Janet not recording new vocals for this (possibly official) remix, Ciara has injected a new life into this already-storming track. Often likened to Janet, Ciara's voice, delivery, everything fits the song really well. With all the comparisons and whatnot, would I be alone in thinking a live performance of this remix would be unmissable?

As with the 'Feedback' remix, it's Ciara's delivery that stands out on Missy's 'Ching-A-Ling' remix - which also features Jay-Z. It's well-known C's vocal prowess leaves a lot to be desired, but her swagger on this can't be denied IMO.

These kinda have me thirsty for what she'll be serving up on her new album, which she is reportedly working on now.

R&B star Ciara was among those who performed in honor of Diana Ross at the Kennedy Center Honors show which aired yesterday on CBS. The 22 year old singer performed a medley of Ross' classics 'I'm Coming Out' and 'Upside Down'. Not an obvious choice for the tribute, I thought Ciara did pretty well.

Ciara premiered the video for her new single 'That's Right' today as a special Christmas gift to her fans. Can't say I'm a fan of the song, but the video turned out pretty good. Monica makes a cameo in the vid too.

The 2007 World Music Awards were held earlier this month in Monte Carlo. R&B stars Ciara and Rihanna performed at the event. Check out their performances below:

Ciara (ft. 50 Cent) - 'Can't Leave Em' Alone'

Rihanna - 'Umbrella'

I actually enjoyed both performances. Ciara's vocals were on-point throughout and Rihanna did her thing too.

Our friends over at Real Talk NY caught up with R&B star Ciara at one of the stops on her 5 city 22nd birthday tour. The singer spoke on recording the follow-up to her Platinum-selling LP 'Ciara: The Evolution' as well as her futures goals and ambitions.

It's a pretty interesting interview and she comes across really well. Considering I felt 'The Evolution' could have been much better than it was, I'm hoping she comes hard with her next project; I really see her as one of the few artists out now who has the potential to be great.

R&B star Ciara made an appearance on the Tyra Banks show last week Friday. In typical 'Tyra' fashion, the 'Promise' singer was grilled on numerous issues including her rumored romance with 50 Cent and as well as her 'tom-boy' image. It was a real funny interview, which saw Ciara teaching Tyra 'the dance' from the 'Get Up' video.

50 Cent and Ciara continue to tease their alleged 'relationship'. The pic above is a shot from the booklet of the 50's forthcoming 'Curtis' album and it's rumored that it's Ciara's legs that are suggestively wrapped around him. The pair have been linked together ever since their collaboration 'Can't Leave Em Alone'.

I'm pretty sure it's Ciara; I mean the pics look like outtakes from the 'Can't Leave Em Alone' vid. Lord knows if they're actually an item (I couldn't care less), but either way it seems like they'll continue to milk it for what it's worth.

The Screamfest tour hit New York's Madison Square Garden yesterday (August 22nd) and looked to be a great show all-round. Hip Hop showed out in a major way with Jay Z, Diddy, T.I, Kanye West and 50 Cent (you read right) appearing on stage together. Check out more pics of the event below:

Ciara was joined by 50 Cent again

That first pic of 50 standing alone is priceless lol...though I'm sure it was just taken at the wrong time. Kanye and 50 onstage together is kinda suspect, but I doubt their 'chart battle' is a publicity stunt (as some will no doubt be thinking) - they were never 'beefing' (like that) to begin with. LMAO at Yung Joc - since when did rappers do strip teases?

During her set at the Screamfest 07 concert in Rosemont, Illnois, Ciara brought out R. Kelly as a special guest. The pair then proceeded to perform the 'Promise (Remix)'. I would have liked see them perform together live, as I've been feeling the remix since it came out late last year. On a side note, what the hell is Ciara wearing lol? She looks kinda like a pro-wrestler...not a good look.
