Danity Kane star Aubrey O'Day rocked this "interesting" frock at the 'Vitamin Water Celebrates MLB All Star Week' which took place last night. There's not much more to say other than, the whole look is very 'Aubrey'. Take that as you will...
MTV recently caught up with the ladies of Danity Kane on the set of the 'Bad Girl' - the long awaited second single from their current LP 'Welcome To The Dollhouse':
The vid is apparently set to premiere later this week; about time as well!
In a pretty odd happening, Danity Kane performed on Country music's version of American Idol, Nashville Star last night. Yes, I have no idea why they were booked to perform there either. Anyway, about the performance, it was pretty good. The ladies have definitely had better live vocal showings, however their stage presence compensated for that 100%, they really worked the stage like the seasoned performers they've become.
Word has it all is not well within Danity Kane at present. Check out the report via The Las Vegas Review Journalbelow:
It wasn't all sweetness and light Friday for Diddy's girl group Danity Kane. Two members of the pop group got physical backstage at the Palms before their concert at The Pearl last night. The tension was still evident when the group arrived at Privé Las Vegas (Planet Hollywood Resort) for their after-party. Dawn Richards, Aundrea Fimbres and Shannon Bex stayed on one side of the VIP Booth while Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods sat on the other posing for pictures with fans.
Hmm. Here's hoping there's a quick resolve to the drama, if this is true. In the meanwhile, any guesses on who the fighting pair were?
The Making The Band 4 clan - Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie, stopped by The Big Phat Morning Show on Baltimore's Q92FM radio station to promote their current tour. Check out the hilarious interview below:
They all had me cracking up; Dawn's reaction to the Aundrea pregnant comment, to the 'Malaysian weaves', to Donnie and Shannon still not saying a word lol. Now all they need is to be hooked up with new singles and accompanying videos ASAP.
Check out Danity Kane performing 'Bad Girl' and 'Strip Tease' on the Making The Band 4 New York tour stop at the Hammerstein Ballroom last night:
Bad Girl
Strip Tease
The ladies nailed it, both vocally and with the choreography. They really are seizing the previously vacant title of hottest girl-group out at the moment and running with it. Pussycat Dolls, who?
Danity Kane's Aubrey O' Day features in the latest issue of J' Adore magazine. It's good to see some of the ladies on their grind outside of the group. Word has it, their iron clad deal with Bad Boy sees them making little money, despite all of their success. The price of 'fame', I guess...
Word has it that the Making The Band 4 tour is having difficulties attracting concert-goers; consequently a series of dates have been cancelled. Click here to see the proof. What's more, MTV are said to be looking to shorten the tour as well as 'give-away' tickets to the show so as to save face.
What the hell is going on over at Bad Boy? I know Danity Kane have been on their grind doing a series of non-televised shows here and there; yet with a tour coming up, it makes little sense to be working the non-televised circuit when you have something to promote - namely an album and tour.
With 'Damaged' having just cracked the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, it's understandable as to why their second single 'Bad Girl' hasn't been rolled out just yet. Day26, on the other hand, have been in dire need of an appearance, performance..hell something, yet have been MIA since the tour was announced. Diddy and Bad Boy have with Danity Kane the best girl group out at the moment IMO and with Day26 guys with mass potential, yet don't seem to be promoting them as such. For both group's sake, business needs to pick up ASAP.
Bad Boy quintet Danity Kane are set to duel with the 'Divas' of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) in the video for their upcoming single 'Bad Girl'. The Melina directed clip will be shot in Los Angeles in the coming weeks. {Source}
Having delivered a stellar album with 'Welcome To The Dollhouse', the ladies really do have many a-potential hit to chose from in terms of singles. I'm personally hoping 'Sucka For Love' and 'Striptease' receive the single treatment at some point. For what it's worth, 'Poetry' has supposedly been lined up as the record's 3rd single.
R&B/Pop collective Danity Kane stopped by TRL earlier this week to perform their hit 'Damaged'. The brief downtime seems to have worked; this stands as the best performance of the song thus far IMO. From the vocals to the choreography to the stage presence, the girls were on-point. Good stuff.
For the most part, they nailed it! Watching this really shows how far they've come both vocally and performance-wise. While all the performances were great, their vocal runs and riffs on 'Showstopper' were overly on-point.
Making The Band 4 stars Danity and Day26 appeared on the Tyra Banks show earlier this week. Check out their hilarious interview above and watch of their performances below:
Danity Kane - Damaged
Day26 - Got Me Going
What do you think of the interview / performances?
Danity Kane's sophomore LP 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' has debuted atop of the Billboard 200 after selling an impressive 236,000 copies in its first week on sale. 'Dollhouse' first week numbers have bested that of the group's self-titled 2006 debut.
In other chart news, rapper Rick Ross sits comfortably at #3, shifting another 90,000 copies of 'Trilla', while Flo Rida's 'Mail On Sunday' debuts at #4 with 86, 000 sold. Lower down, Def Jam's Rocko 'Self-Made' enters at #21, selling though 28, 000 records. {Source}
Yesterday night saw the airing of the Making The Band 4 season 2 finale. The two hour telecast boasted performances from the shows star's Danity Kane, Day 26 and Donnie. As well as performing Diddy made a 'special announcement' confirming that a new season of the show will be shot and will follow both the groups and Donnie on their North American tour. Check out the performances below:
Danity Kane - Damaged
Day26 - Got Me Going
Donny (ft. Diddy) - Take You There
I really enjoyed both Day26 and Danity Kane's performances, although the latter were kinda shaky vocally at times. Donnie, on the other hand, what was that? I'm starting to question Diddy's mindset when choosing him as a solo act, because the performance was wack - to put it simply. According to our friends over at Think2wice.org, who were in attendance at the taping, Donnie's performance was done not once, not twice, but three times over. Yet still the televised version was the pits. Anyway, usual...
What do you think of the performances ?
Will you be checking for the Making The Band tour?
The finale for the current season of Making The Band 4 took place yesterday in New York. Hosted by veteran MTV VJ Sway, the night saw performances by the show's stars Danity Kane, Day26 etc, as well as an appearance by Diddy's twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James. US visitors can catch the finale on MTV tonight at 9:00PM ET/PT.
The ladies of Danity Kane continued along the promo trail for their new album 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' by stopping at BET's 106 & Park yesterday. Upon being prompted to give an acapella rendition of their hit 'Damaged', the girls proceeded to absolutely nail it. As a group, IMO they are vocally (and in every other way) really head and shoulders above their competition (i.e. Pussycat Dolls...remember them?).
'Make Me Sick' features as a bonus track on the Danity Kane's latest album 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' - which saw its release Stateside this week. The uptempo R&B/Pop cut is very reminiscent to the sound on the album and is solid enough to have made the final tracklist. Anyone else hear similarities between this and Rihanna's 'Breakin' Dishes'? In other Danity Kane news, 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' is predicted to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 - shifting somewhere in the region of 250,000-275,000 copies first week.
To celebrate the release of their awesome new LP 'Welcome To Dollhouse', Danity Kane hosted an album release party Tuesday night at Tenjune in New York. Ne-Yo, Patti LaBelle and Fabolous were among the evening's guests.
