It appears the folk over at Bad Boy finally decided to hook Day26 up with a much needed new single in the form of 'Since You've Been Gone', the video for which premiered recently. Luckily for the guys, the song is strong enough to carry this, otherwise, run-of-the-mill clip. The Dawn (from Danity Kane) cameo was a nice touch, though. With the track being one of the strongest cuts from their self titled debut, here's hoping it fares better than first single 'Got Me Going' which peaked at #79 on the Billboard Hot 100.

An unreleased Day26 track, which is believed to be a left-over from their debut album, surfaced recently. Produced by Bryan Michael Cox, it's pretty evident why 'Must Be Love' wasn't included on their record - it's a real run-of-the-mill, uninspired slow-jam. Fortunately, Cox and the Bad Boy five-piece fare better on their other joint efforts such as 'Are We In This Together'.Labels: Day26
They all had me cracking up; Dawn's reaction to the Aundrea pregnant comment, to the 'Malaysian weaves', to Donnie and Shannon still not saying a word lol. Now all they need is to be hooked up with new singles and accompanying videos ASAP.
Any thoughts?

The guys did a great job; they started off a little shaky, but definitely picked things up toward the end. Good stuff.

Donny (ft. Diddy) - Take You There
I really enjoyed both Day26 and Danity Kane's performances, although the latter were kinda shaky vocally at times. Donnie, on the other hand, what was that? I'm starting to question Diddy's mindset when choosing him as a solo act, because the performance was wack - to put it simply. According to our friends over at Think2wice.org, who were in attendance at the taping, Donnie's performance was done not once, not twice, but three times over. Yet still the televised version was the pits. Anyway, usual...

The video for Day26's debut single 'Got Me Going' premiered on MTV today. Directed by Syndrome, who also directed Danity Kane's 'Damaged' clip, the video is pretty good. I'm liking the concept and the special effects actually work here (not so sure about that 'Damaged' vid just yet); the guys also did their thing on the choreography front. Day 26's self-titled album will hit stores on March 25th.

As the current season of Making The Band draws nearer to its end and the release of the groups' albums ever-closer, more material from the guys of Day26's has surfaced. Bryan Michael Cox, who seems to have several cuts on the group's album, produced this new track called 'Don't Fight This Feeling'. With its throwback 90's vibe, this slow jam is straight-up R&B in the vein of the 112's and Jagged Edge's before them (Day26). Saying that, parts of the track echo Ciara's 'Promise' as well. Definitely a solid album track, that has me anxious to see what the rest of their debut will be serving up.Labels: Day26
Bad Boy artists Cheri Dennis and Day26 performed at yesterday's BET Rip The Runway event during the Sean John showcase. Dennis, whose album 'In & Out of Love' is out now, performed 'Portrait of Love', whilst Day26 performed their debut single 'Got Me Going'. While both performances were 'ok', they left a salty taste in my mouth. They are both going to have to step up their live performing game if they hope to make an impact. Random tidbit: Did anyone else spot Cassie getting it during her walk. She should really give up pretending to sing and take up modelling again.

You can now preview the self-titled debut from Day26, stars of Making The Band 4. This 6-track sampler serves to give give a taste of what the group's LP (due March 25th) will be offering. Featured on the preview:01. Diddy's Intro
02. I'm The Reason
03. Got Me Going
04. In My Bed
05. Come In
06. Are We In This Together
Listening through this has kinda reignited my belief in the guys' chances of success. The previously unheard 'I'm The Reason' as well as 'In My Bed' and 'Are We In This Together' are very solid cuts. The void left by the likes of 112 and Jagged Edge may just be filled by Day26.
Hit or Miss?

Yet more material from Making The Band 4's Day26 has surfaced. Produced by The Runners, 'Come In' - a cut from their forthcoming album - is, production-wise, is very solid track. From the beat, to the vocal arrangement, to the harmonies, the song production is top-notch. be it vocally, emotionally or whatever, there is a lack of cohesion with the guys' voices on the verses which hinders, what would otherwise be, a great song. Still, their self-titled debut (due March 25th) is one of the LP's I'm looking forward to this year.Labels: Day26
The official album cover for Day26's debut LP hit the net recently. The guys, stars of MTV's Making The Band 4, are set to release their self-titled album on March 11th via Bad Boy/Atlantic Records. Labels: Day26, Making The Band 4
The guys from MTV's Making The Band 4 - now known collectively as Day26 - made an appearance on shock-jock Wendy Williams' WBLS radio show yesterday. Typically, Wendy and Charlamange got on them HARD; they had me rolling with the digs at Qwanell lol lol lol. The most hilarious interview I've heard in a long while. Labels: Day26
Since winning MTV's popular reality show 'Making The Band 4' last summer, the group- consistent of Mike, Quanell, Brian, Robert and Willie - have been without a collective name to go by. However, during an appearance on radio station Power 99 in Philadelphia yesterday, the guys revealed that the group's official name is Day26. No explanation was given, so I'll reserve my judgement until then.Labels: Day26, Making The Band 4
