Foxy BrownFoxy Brown's long-awaited LP 'Brooklyn's Don Diva' was released recently. In what has to be some kind of joke, the rapper claims she's only just heard it:
“Unfortunately, during my incarceration, this CD was compiled without my approval. I heard this CD in its entirety, for the first time, just says ago and was devastated.

In another phase of my life and career, I would have dealt with this situation with litigation, but for the benefit of my fans and in the wake of the profound spiritual cleansing I recently underwent in prison, I made the decision to settle our creative differences amicably.’

Foxy is so confident she can re-up and bring the album back to the level of her previous releases, she promised to ‘deliver the biggest street album in female rap history." {Source}

Could the lack of interest among the record-buying public be the cause for Foxy's sudden charge of heart in regard to the album? She's not fooling anyone if she's trying to say she didn't know the album was going to be released. If it's wack and she just found out, that's all on her and no one else. SMH...

It appears Foxy Brown's reckless behaviour has caught up with her. Brown, real name Inga Marchand has been sentenced to one year in prison for violation of probation. Check out TMZ's report below:
Foxy Brown will spend the next year in jail for violating her probation — and she’s going straight back to a cell on Rikers Island, where she’s spent the last two weeks. TMZ was in the courtroom when it all went down, and Judge Melissa Jackson slammed Foxy’s pleas for mercy, calling her a “great actress,” and saying that if this were the first time she’d apologized, she might be believable, but not now. We’re told that Foxy was visibly distraught by the verdict, and her mother refused to talk to reporters outside. Foxy originally was sentenced to the probation after an assault on two employees at a nail salon in Manhattan.

Outside the courtroom, cops from New Jersey — where she allegedly lied to cops about her birthdate and state of residence — told TMZ that she got what she deserved. Interesting note: if she serves the full term, Foxy will give birth in prison.

I can't say she doesn't deserve it. It's just messed up that her baby will be born in jail because it's mother is a nut.

It seems all of Foxy Brown's foolishness has caught up with her. The troubled rapper will now serve time behind bars, according to TMZ. Check out their report below:
TMZ has learned that Foxy Brown is headed to jail, after a Manhattan judge ordered the reportedly three-months-pregnant rapper to serve time for violating her probation.

We’re told that just minutes ago, Judge Melissa Jackson remanded Brown to the custody of the state, and threw her in the clink until her next hearing, which is Sept. 5. Brown had been on probation on assault charges, but two incidents in recent weeks violated her probation, thus leading Judge Jackson to send Foxy to jail.

A source tells TMZ that Foxy’s face was “priceless” when the judge handed down her decision, and that Brown had not expected to see jail time. It has yet to be determined where Brown will be serving her time.

Good! It's about time too. For the longest time, it's like she wanted to get locked up. A mess.

Any thoughts?

Troubled rapper Foxy Brown has, once again, found herself on the wrong side of the law; this time for doing a 'Naomi Campbell' and assaulting a woman with her cell phone. Check the out 7 News Online report:

The 27-year-old, whose real name is Inga Marchand, turned herself in to detectives at the 77 Precinct at around 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon. She was charged with felony assault, menacing, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon. Brown was arraigned last night and released on $5,000 bail. Her next court date is Sept. 26.

Police say the trouble-prone rapper, who is on parole, was accused of assaulting her 25-year-old neighbor on July 30 at around 6:50 p.m. at the corner of Carlton Avenue and Prospect Place. The rapper allegedly smacked the woman with her cell phone, a Blackberry, during an argument.

The victim was reportedly taken to Brooklyn Hospital for loosening of the teeth, swelling of the lip and swelling of the right eye. She filed a complaint with police, and after an investigation, the rapper agreed to turn herself in yesterday.

It's a shame that the Foxy of today is a bonafide mess. She either wants to go to jail or is just flat out crazy.SMH...

After numerous set-backs, including being struck with deafness, Foxy Brown has finally set a release date for her anticipated 'Black Roses' album. The controversial rapper revealed to Billboard that 'Black Roses' - her first album in 6 years - will hit stores on September 4th via her new label of the same name. Regarding the album, Foxy said 'No disrespect to anyone, but gear up baby, because when I come, it's over...this album is going to be a lyrical testimony of everything I've gone through and survived the last couple of years. It's just incredible.' Planned collaborations on the album are set to include Jay-Z, Baby Cham and Spragga Benz.

It's refreshing to hear news regarding Foxy's music and not a run-in with the law. With Eve doing her thing now as well, it seems female Hip-Hop is experiencing a revival. Lil' Kim should follow suit and hurry-up with her post-prison album too.

Do you care for Foxy's return?

The video for Kelly Rowland's new single 'Like This' will premier on MTV's TRL this upcoming Monday (26th). Rowland will be there to showcase the vid herself. Insiders claim that the video is cyber-heavy and will feature a shower scene. Interesting. Be sure to check back here for the video.

It's official: Foxy Brown has lost her damn mind. A warrant was issued for the arrest of the rapper after she failed to attend a court hearing regarding an assault charge.

Foxy is so ignorant. It's one thing after the other with her. You'd think after the whole deafness situation that she would have mellowed out...obviously not. She's done.

Bobby Brown has plans to become the next Flava Flav. The soon-to-be divorced singer is apparently shopping around a reality show that pits contestants against each other for his affections. This comes after his first reality show 'Being Bobby Brown' was cancelled upon the news of his divorce from his superstar- ex Whitney Houston.

Brown must be getting desperate to keep his name out there. It wasn't long ago that he was photographed dining out with a mystery female; he has even spoken about currently dating someone, so why the show?

Rapper Busta Rhymes has rejected a plea-deal from Prosecutors in his assault case yesterday, 20th February. The deal would have meant that Rhymes, 34, would spend only 6 months in jail for two assault charges. The first charge is for Rhymes attacking his former driver, Eddie Hatchett, during an argument over back-pay. He is also charged for assaulting a fan who allegedly spat on his car in August. He is, however, considering a judge's plea-bargain that would allow him to plea guilty to a lesser assault charge and remain free.

I say take the judge's offer. It's not often you get a judge bending over backwards to keep your behind out of jail! Seriously though, he needs to sort himself out.

In other news, the Florida beauty shop owner who was allegedly assaulted by Foxy Brown, resulting in her arrest last week, has told the New York Post "I hired a lawyer. I hope to pay off my mortgage with whatever I get"- referring to a lawsuit he is about to launch against the rapper. IMO he deserves nothing if all he wants is money instead of justice. Plus, I don't think Foxy has any money left!

Click here for the vid of Brown being released from jail.
