Janet Superbowl Fine Dropped Believe it or not, there were still financial repercussions lingering for Janet Jackson's now infamous 'Nipplegate' moment at the Superbowl four years ago. However, it has been announced that the last of the barrage if fines leveled against the networked which aired it, CBS, has been dropped:
PHILADELPHIA - A federal appeals court has thrown out a $550,000 fine against CBS Corp. for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction."
The three-judge panel in Philadelphia ruled Monday that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing the fine for the fleeting image of nudity.

The 90 million people watching the Super Bowl, many of them children, heard Justin Timberlake sing, "Gonna have you naked by the end of this song," as he reached for Jackson's bustier. {Source}
About time already. All parties seemed to have moved on anyway, so the fine really was pointless IMO.

While on the Superbowl topic...

Do you think Janet can overcome the Superbowl drama?

video

{Madonna's people are on a rampage taking the vid off Youtube etc}

The much-anticipated video for Madonna's latest offering '4 Minutes (To Save The World)' premiered just a few short hours ago. I must say that I consider this to be one the year's better vids thus far. Both the clips concept of and the overall visuals were awesome. Saying that, I felt both Madonna and Justin could have brought 'it' better on the choreography front - which, IMO, was a real missed opportunity . Still, a great video that emphasises why she continues to remain relevant in today's unstable music climate. Madonna's forthcoming LP 'Hard Candy', from which '4 Minutes' is lifted from, will hit stores on April 29th.

Madonna - 4 Minutes To Save The World (ft. Timbaland & Justin Timberlake)As I've said before, it's not often you see Madonna around these sides. Yet her foray into the world of Urban of music (again), this time with the assistance of Timbaland & Justin Timberlake, is newsworthy in itself. A clip of the first single to be lifted from her forthcoming album 'Hard Candy' (due April 29th) '4 Minutes To Save The World', surfaced earlier this month, however the full version premiered on French radio today.

What can I say? She brought 'it' and then some! The production on the uptempo track is arguably Timbo's best in years and both Madonna & Justin ride the beat with ease. I'm still thinking to myself as I type, can this really be a Madonna track?! The hook heavy track is certain to be a smash IMO.

Hit or Miss?

Yes, I know it's not everyday you see Madonna around these sides. However, upon the news that the 49 year old superstar would be working with hit-maker Timbaland for her forthcoming album, many in the Urban circles are anticipating what the pair come up with.

The first single from the as-yet-untitled album (due in April) is apparently this track, '4 Minutes To Save The World' - which was produced and featured in by Timbo as well as Justin Timberlake. Judging by this very short clip, the track sounds like a hit, I can't even deny it.

It was announced a couple of months back that Justin Timberlake would be re-recording 'Until The End Of Time' with Beyonce. Upon hearing the finished product, it's evident their pairing was well matched. I'm really liking this version of the song, so it's great to hear that the track is likely to be the next single from Timberlake's hugely successful 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' album.

Justin Timberlake's 'FutureSex/LoveShow' concert aired yesterday on HBO. Filmed on August 16th in New York's Madison Square Garden, the show was said to be pretty good. Check out a few videos from the concert below:

Though I think Justin is very overrated, he did pretty good.

The video for 50 Cent's latest single 'Ayo Technology' (ft. Justin Timberlake) debuted lasted night. The track is definitely one of the better singles 50 has released from the project so far (which isn't saying much). The Minority Report-themed video is pretty good too - although it was kinda underwhelming. With 'Ayo Technology' serving as the third or fourth single from 50's upcoming 'Curtis' CD (I'm losing count) , the performance of this release will likely determine the success of the album. 'Curtis' drops September 11th.

In the wake of his terrible BET Awards performance and the general lack of interest surrounding his upcoming 'Curtis' album, 50 Cent must be hoping 'She Wants It' catches on. Confirmed as his next single (the third already from the album), 'She Wants It' - a Timbaland production - is a pretty good track. Aside from the 'typical' subject matter, I'm liking everything else about it. It's refreshing to see 50 switch up his flow on a track - his delivery was becoming kinda 'samey'. Justin does his thing on the hook. The Joseph Khan directed video - which will borrow elements from 'The Matrix' movie - will be debuting soon.

Is it third time lucky for 50: Hit or Miss?

I always felt 'LoveStoned' was one of the better tracks from Justin Timberlake's sophomore effort 'Future Sex/Love Sounds'. However the video is just not cutting it. Sub-par at best, the vid comes across as cheap and rushed. Maybe after the big-budget videos for 'SexyBack' and 'What Goes Around', the label didn't have much (funds) to work with? Whatever the case, this is a disappointment.

Justin Timberlake has announced that he is to launch his own record label - Tennman Records - a joint venture with Interscope Records. The 'My Love' singer will function as the Los Angeles-based company's CEO and chairman. International distribution will be handled by Interscope Geffen A&M. Speaking on the label, Timberlake said 'We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries'. New signings to the label will be revealed in June.

As Justin joins the host of artists who own their own labels, I'm left wondering whether it will work or not. Most of these artists either use it as a means of increasing their own popularity i.e. 50 Cent or simply can't cut it in their role; in both cases the new signee's end up suffering. Time will tell if it ends up being a success.

Lloyd - Get It Shawty

Unsure about this one. The track is ok but the video is kinda bland. It should do well, though, off the back of his last single 'You' which hit #1 on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop chart.

Lumidee (ft. Tony Sunshine) - She's Like The Wind

Although I didn't think I would, I'm liking this one. Maybe its because she's rapping instead of attempting to sing (like before). Video is pretty much your standard R&B vid - nothing more, nothing less. One question though: Why does the feature artist appear more on the track than she does?

Timbaland (ft. Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake)

Not liking this one at all. The video is cheap as anything and I just can't get into the track. Nelly's voice- which I usually don't mind- is really nasal and annoying. Then again, it might just be me...I can't get past the idea that the song is supposedly taking shots at two artists I respect - Prince and Janet.
