Following the surprise success of 'Sexy Can I', Ray J is back with follow-up single 'Gifts'. Unfortunately it seems as though the impressive reception of 'Sexy Can I' was a fluke, as 'Gifts' finds Brandy's lil' bro in familiar territory - uncreative, uninspired and unworthy of a second listen IMO (though I'm some will beg to differ).

According to TMZ, Ray J got himself into a little trouble over the weekend. Check out their report:R&B boy toy Ray J was tossed out on his behind early Saturday morning from the Hyatt Regency in D.C., because Brandy's bro allegedly had a stash of marijuana and a drug called "Boat" (a club drug) ... this according to TMZ sources.
We're told Ray J went to his room after partying it up, when hotel management got a complaint. It appears security went up to the room where they allegedly found all the drug stuff.
Our sources say the singer tried to bribe hotel security so he could stay but they didn't bite. We're told Ray J went crazy, arguing like a mutha. Eventually, Mr. J's own security came to the hotel and carted him away.
Police were called, but no one was busted.
And the supreme insult -- Ray J had to check into a Holiday Inn down the street. Oh the humanity.
Ray J's rep tells us "The altercation did not directly affect Ray J -- it was people in his entourage. But he did the gentlemanly thing and left the hotel anyway."
A mess.

Terrible. Whoever gave him the 'ok' to do this obviously doesn't care for him that much, as that was painful - just as expected. Ray J's voice is distinctly average at best, so performing such a weighty song made no sense at all. Pitchy, strained and an overall mess. SMH...

Whitney Houston and rumored boyfriend Ray stepped out together for the second time this week, heightening speculation that they are, indeed, a couple. The pair posed for pictures while sitting front-row centre at the Hopkins vs. Calzaghe boxing match in Las Vegas, Nevada last night. While, I'll reserve my judgement on them dating, it's great to see Whitney looking happy and healthy. Tidbit: Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina also accompanied her mother.

R&B singer Ray J performed his hit 'Sexy Can I' on The Tonight Show Jay Leno yesterday night. I can't front, I'm really liking the song and tip my hat to Ray J on his success (the song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100). About the performance, it was pretty decent.

Something about Ray J irks me to no end. I don't know what it is exactly, but I'm sure it has something to do with him pretty much being a joke. 'I want to focus on my career now'? Maybe he didn't get the memo, but no one is checking for his career - 'One Wish' aside, I don't think they ever were.

Sonja Norwood, the mother of R&B singer and brother Ray J, filed a lawsuit against Kim Kardashian Monday accusing her of credit card fraud. Check out the report below via PEOPLE.com: The suit, which also names Kardashian’s siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., alleges they ran up the charges on the mother’s card in 2006 and 2007. It seeks the return of the money plus 10 percent interest. Kim Kardashian denied the allegations, telling PEOPLE she and her siblings had Norwood’s permission to make the purchases.
“We have her signature on all items,” Kardashian says.
In the lawsuit, Norwood’s mother, Sonja Norwood, who is also her manager, alleges Kim Kardashian had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on the Norwood American Express card in Kim’s then-capacity as a stylist for Brandy (Brandy’s brother, Ray J, also appeared in the infamous sex tape with Kim).
But later, Kardashian, now starring in the E! reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, made unauthorized purchases and passed on Norwood’s card number to her siblings, who also then made unauthorized purchases, including for items in two Kardashian family-owned clothing stores, Dash and Smooch, for a total of $120,636.
I can see that this whole Ray-J and Kim Kardashian mess is getting worse. I'm thinking Sonja should check her son, who is pretty much a joke thesedays, before suing anyone though.

Ok, so it's well known that Ray J has pretty much become an industry joke after a series of flop albums and 'that' video with a certain Ms. Karshardian. However, I have to give it to Brandy's little bro, this new single 'Sexy Can I' is actually kinda...well...good. With it's catchy hook and decent video, the 27 year old star may have hit on his hands. The track is lifted from Ray's fourth LP 'All I Feel', his first with new label Knockout Entertainment, and is slated to be released in April.

Lil Fizz is the latest ex-boyband member to make a bid for solo stardom. 'Beds' is the lead single from the former B2K star's new album 'Payday'. Both the video and the song are so-so, however all the other members of B2K came out to support Fizz - with all three making cameo appearances in the vid. No words for Ray J..
