Sean Paul It's been a minute since we've heard anything from Jamaican crossover star Sean Paul. A stalled attempt at returning to the limelight last year came in the form of 'Watch Dem Roll', yet things kinda went quiet after that.

This new track titled 'Pepperpot' is slated to feature on Sean's forthcoming LP, the follow-up to 2005's Platinum certified 'The Trinity'. I'm kinda on the fence about this one; it's an easy on the ear, summer sounding track. Saying that, it doesn't really have that 'ummph' that his previous singles have had, leaving me wondering how his album will fare if this is what it has to offer.

Hit or Miss?

The video for Sean Paul's new single 'Watch Dem Roll' surfaced earlier this week. I can't say I'm a fan of the song - particularly as a single. Considering Sean usually delivers with his first singles, the song is kinda so-so, as is the Rich Newey directed video.

What do you think of the video?

The video for Eve's latest single 'Give it To You' (ft. Sean Paul) premiered yesterday. Directed by Melina (who was behind most of Beyonce's 'Anthology' clips), the video is great; and aside from 'that' blond wig, Eve is looking on-point too. The vid really manages to capture the song's summer vibe. Eve's new album 'Here I Am' is set to hit stores September 18th.

The ever-consistent Sean Paul is prepping his new album (rumoured title ‘New Age’) for a 2007/2008 release. ‘Pick It Up And Drop It’ is set to be the lead single from the LP – the follow-up to 2005’s Platinum selling ‘The Trinity’. As with most of his singles, the uptempo track is real radio-friendly; yet it differs to his previously released material. The song is a slight departure from Paul’s dancehall roots and sees the Jamaican star embrace a more dance-orientated sound. For the most part, I’m liking the track and will be on the lookout for his new CD – since the last two were great.

The 2nd single to be lifted from Eve’s upcoming album ‘Here I Am’ (due August 7th), has surfaced. Produced by Swizz Beats, ‘Give It To You’, featuring Sean Paul, is a Caribbean tinged uptempo track – perfect for the summer. E-V-E’s first single ‘Tambourine’ has grown on me considerably and with the debut of this great new track, I’m anticipating her album all the more. Be on the lookout for the video in the coming weeks.

It appears Eve isn't wasting any time releasing singles from her upcoming album 'Here I Am' (due August 7th). As her current single 'Tambourine' climbs the charts, the rapper has already shot the video for the follow-up single 'Give It To You' - which features Sean Paul. Judging from these pics from the set, the video looks like its gonna be a good one. Be on the lookout for the video in the coming weeks.

What do you think of the pics?

This remix of 'Push It' is the 2nd single from Pretty Ricky's sophomore album 'Late Night Special'. Though the original is o.k, this version is much better (mainly because of the Sean Paul feature). As much as I think Pretty Ricky are a joke, I have to admit that their singles are good. The video is kinda interesting too, I guess they were trying something different with the concept.
