Lack of promotion? A changing industry? Bad material? All of those questions sprung to mind upon being informed that Tiffany Evans shifted an embarrassing 4, 700 copies of her debut album last week. The 15 year old's first week showing landed her at #134 on the Billboard 200.

Though I admittedly have yet to hear the record, it's still a shame to see such a talent - one, I consider to be a potential big star of tomorrow - fare so badly. This really goes to show that the industry is on unstable ground at the moment. That Grape Juice wants to know your take on this all and what you think it signifies in its wider context...

After hitting the scene last year with her debut 'Promise Ring', 14 year old vocalist Tiffany Evans is back with her second single, the Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins produced 'I'm Grown'. The video for the single, which features Bow Wow, premiered recently; I must say, I'm liking it. Yes, it's simplistic and the concept has been done before, but I really respect the fact that she is being branded (songs/videos etc) in a age appropriate way that doesn't alienate older listeners. With her self-titled album having been pushed back a few times, I'm anxious to see what this undeniable young talent will be serving up in 2008.

R&B breakout star Tiffany Evans' performed her current single 'Promise Ring' on BET's 106 & Park a couple of weeks back. A few shaky notes aside, she nailed it! From the choreography to the vocals to the overall energy, she was great. At just 15 years old, this girl is destined for big things; talent like this can't (and hopefully won't) be ignored.

Some of you may remember Tiffany Evans from her roles in Tyler Perry movies 'Madea’s Family Reunion' and 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman'. The 15 year old is set to release her debut album this year and 'Promise Ring' is the the lead single from the set. Interestingly, R&B star Ciara features on the track, singing backing vocals. I'm really liking the song and video; Tiffany has got a great voice and the choreography is on-point. It's not often artists nowadays can both sing and dance, but Tiffany has both on lock. It's great to see Ciara supporting an up-and-coming artist too.
