Surprisingly, will.i.am is still churning out video's from the flop that was his 'Songs About Girls' LP (I'm not being harsh...it's the truth), the latest being for 'One More Chance'. Though the video is pretty 'blah', I must say I do like the song more than anything he's released on a solo tip to date.

What do you think of the song/video?

For some reason, Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am seems intent on continuing his solo assault on the charts - this time in the form of new single 'Heartbreaker'. The track, which surprisingly features Cheryl Cole - a member of UK group Girls Aloud, is pretty awful, as is its accompanying 'tight budget' video. Kudos to Will for trying though. Saying that, I hope hope and hope that this isn't the kind of material he's working on with Michael Jackson (shudders at the thought).

will.i.am According to Entertainment Weekly, Black Eyed Peas front-man will.i.am is set to re-release his solo effort 'Songs About Girls':

Songs About Girls, released Sept. 25 to lackluster sales (it charted at No. 38 with 21,000 copies sold and to date has moved 47,108 units), is now entirely M.I.A. from the charts, but Interscope hasn’t given up on it yet. The label plans to re-release the record in early 2008 with three new tracks. “We went with the wrong single and it sold nothing,” a label insider admits. “We would’ve been in better shape if we had pulled the album, because to relaunch it is harder.”

There's no doubt that 'I Got It From My Mama' was abysmal. It'll be interesting to see if the re-release will garner the project any more attention.

Do you think Will should re-release 'Songs About Girls'?

The 2007 American Music Awards took place yesterday at the Nokio Theatre in Los Angeles. A host of stars from the urban music world performed on the night, check out their performances below:

Beyonce & Sugarland - 'Irreplaceable' (Remix)

Chris Brown & T-Pain - 'Kiss Kiss'

Rihanna - 'Umbrella'/'Hate That I Love' (w/Ne-Yo)

Mary J. Blige - 'Just Fine'

Alicia Keys - 'No One'

Additional Performances:

Will.i.am // Nicole Scherzinger // Fergie

The performances, to me, were kind of a mixed bag....

I mean, though it's understandable why Beyonce would perform 'Irreplaceable' (it's the song she was nominated most for), she performed the very same track at the 2006 American Music Awards; the country twist was a nice touch, though.

IMO Chris Brown took it to the next level tonight - in terms of stage spectacle. However the fact that he was lypsynching was painfully obvious. It's 2007, lipping to the CD version of a track isn't cutting it -he should have used pre-recorded vocals (See: Janet Jackson).

Call me a hater or whatever, but Rihanna's voice was extra nasal tonight and the lack of depth in her vocal ability really showed through. Ne-Yo, on the other hand, was great.

In what was the first televised performance of Mary J. Blige's new single 'Just Fine', I felt she did just that. Though kinda off at the start, she picked it up from the middle onwards and did her thing.

Performance of the night IMO goes to Alicia Keys. Vocally, she was as-ever, on-point. Moreover she switched things up with the remix and the surprise blasts from the past i.e. Chaka Demus and Pliers. Great stuff.

Black Eyed Peas front man will.I.am performed Michael Jackson's classic 'Wanna Be Starting Something' on a show over here in Europe this past week. I can't deny I enjoyed the performance - even if parts of it were terrible. A tidbit: is it me or did Will's album disappear as soon as it came out?

Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.i.Am, appears on the cover of the latest issue of Ave Magazine. Not sure about this, but I'm kinda feeling what they were trying to do.

With Will's new solo album 'Songs About Girls' having hit stores this week, the artist/producer is making the promotional rounds in support of the project. Earlier this week he stopped by The Jimmy Kimmel show to perform the album's second single 'One More Chance'; he did pretty good. Check out the performance below:

The video for Will.i.am's new solo single ‘I Got It From My Mama’ premiered today. Although I'm really feeling the song, the Bryan Baber directed video left a lot to be desired (which I expected would be the case). Still, it's workable and with the track's infectious hook, Will likely has a hit with this one.

Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am is prepping the launch of his solo project. After the 'Peas successful commercial run, it was inevitable that both he and Fergie would release solo material. This new track - ‘I Got It From My Mama (Genetics)’ - is slated to be the lead single from Will's forthcoming CD ' Songs About Girls' (which hits stores September 25th). I'm liking this track; it's evidently an extension of the sound the Black Eyed Peas channelled on their last couple of albums - hence it should be a firm fixture on the radio.

Hit or Miss?
